Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Renovation Defenders, LLC ("Renovation Defenders," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Renovation Defenders website at renovationdefenders.com and our related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@renovationdefenders.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Purchases, Pricing, and Payment
- Payment processing. Purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms.
- One-time purchases. Course and module access is sold as a one-time purchase that grants you ongoing access to that content for as long as we offer it. We do not currently offer subscriptions, and you will not be charged on a recurring basis for this access.
- Pricing and taxes. Prices are shown on the Services and may change over time. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
4. Refunds
Because purchases provide immediate access to digital content and services, all sales are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as expressly stated at the time of purchase. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@renovationdefenders.com.
5. License to Use Content
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and view the courses, videos, and other content you purchase or are given access to, for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, download (except as the Services expressly permit), redistribute, share your account or content access, resell, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written permission.
6. Safety Training — Educational Purpose Only
Our safety training courses and materials are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional, legal, engineering, or regulatory advice, and they do not guarantee compliance with any law, code, standard, or safety requirement. You are solely responsible for evaluating and complying with all laws, codes, and requirements that apply to your situation.
7. Contractor Vetting, Bookings, and Third-Party Contractors
The Services may let you research, vet, and schedule consultations or bookings with independent contractors and service providers.
- Independent third parties. Any contractor or service provider you connect with through the Services is an independent third party and is not an employee, agent, partner, or representative of Renovation Defenders.
- No guarantee. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee the work, quality, safety, licensing, insurance, timeliness, or pricing of any contractor, and any vetting information we provide is for your convenience and does not constitute a warranty or endorsement.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for your own due diligence and for any agreement you enter into with a contractor. Any dispute arising from work performed (or not performed) by a contractor is solely between you and that contractor.
- Scheduling. Consultation and booking scheduling is provided through Calendly and is subject to Calendly's terms.
8. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on third-party services, including Stripe (payments) and Calendly (scheduling). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
9. Intellectual Property
The Services and their content, including text, video, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Renovation Defenders or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the Services for any unlawful purpose; (b) share, resell, or redistribute content or account access; (c) attempt to circumvent access controls, security, or payment requirements; (d) reverse engineer or interfere with the Services; or (e) use the Services in any way that harms us or other users.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENOVATION DEFENDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Renovation Defenders and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with any contractor.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other lawful reason. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete Account.
15. Changes to the Services and These Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Services, or update these Terms, from time to time. When we update these Terms, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute not subject to other agreement will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
